This was another project for my Commercial Art degree in college.
My father was diagnosed with cancer in 1992. He went through surgery, chemotherapy, a colostomy and more to try and fight it. In the span of it all, he decided to concentrate on life and entered Florida Metropolitan University (back then it was called Tampa College), to pursue a degree in Law. He was one semester away from graduation when he died in Memorial Hospital, due to complications from a simple surgery.
On the day of his interment, I promised I would go to college myself and complete getting my degree in his honor.
As part of one project, I drew this from a picture that my father had taken while he was still active in the US Air Force. This is so that I have him in my sight and in my memory...
There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think about him at least once. Pop and I sometimes never saw eye-to-eye, but I never did get the chance to tell him how much he inspired me and how much I loved him.
He's the reason why I do the best I can with my writing and all my efforts to get published.

Bugs : "Er, um . . . a Hare-um. I t'ink?"
[Smokey the Genie pops out, looks in the door quickly, amid more shrieks, then grins at Bugs]
Smokey : "Oh, THAT was a harem, alright! I know a harem when I see one!"
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
